of Congress, USAID, NASA (still there). Also continued
dancing, performing, and teaching salsa dancing, designed web sites, graphics, shot
documentaries in Africa and other places, produced an instructional salsa DVD.
As of 2007 started my own company - Amika
Studio.
Living a dream and teaching dance: Salsa With Silvia.
Traveled to: South
Africa, Ghana, Germany, Italy, Costa Rica, China, Thailand, Mexico, Peru, France
Purpose of traveling: exploring and filming, telling another story.
Beliefs: one person CAN make a difference, be yourself, follow your dreams, fight to achieve your goals, don’t change for someone else.
Why film: telling another story to the world can change people’s lives, film can make a difference, people would rather watch than read, the visual image has a stronger impact, film can make a difference, film gives you a chance to meet incredible people, film opens your eyes to the world and your problems become insignificant, film gives you freedom to express your mind…
